Hand Holding

Lately, every time that we get in the car to go to the gym Joey says to Charles, "Can I hold your hand at the gym?" Charles always responds the same way, saying, "Oh yes, of course." Then, when we arrive at the kids place for the drop-off, Joey grabs Charles hand and they go skipping off to play. Today Joey asked if we were going to go to the gym. When I answered yes, he grabbed a drawing board and quickly drew this picture of them holding hands at the gym and stated, "look, Charles loves holding my hand at the gym." It's a big deal to him right now to hold his brothers hand at the gym and I am happy that Charles complies.

Cute post. Joey has been so much more loving/affectionate lately (which I didn't think was possible, but it is). Perhaps he senses their impending separation? It won't be easy for two boys that literally spend every waking moment together fighting the forces of Zurg, alligator water, and baby factories (not a euphemism--but a newer enemy they run from. I haven't asked for the clarification yet, but it seems like all they mean is 'tiny factories,' because they talk about them crawling up their legs). This is yet another of the hundreds of reasons I am nervous for Charles to start Kindergarten one week from today.

What a precious post! I know...they are such buddies. It will be an adjustment for both of them (as well as you other three).

Very cute. It will be hard for Joey when Charles leaves, but luckily Kindergarten is not too long. It is great having a built in best friend:)

That's funny. I like the running away from baby factories. You better watch out or else he will be asking to hold little girls hands soon! But its cute while they're still young and innocent. Probably in another 10 years they won't want to touch each other at all! Unless they're punching hahaha
