Just a couple quick pictures of Tori who loves to stand and watch me fill up her bath. I love how you can see her multiple fat rolls and cottage cheese buns.

To Fish Or Not To Fish?
So, Joe is out of town for work. It is just a quick overnight trip to San Angelo, TX. It is actually close enough to drive there instead of having to hassle with catching a flight.
Joe has been itching to fish ever since he went in Utah with his brother Jon and his Dad. Knowing that he would have his evening free while out of town, he decided to look into fishing around San Angelo. While doing research online about fishing in that area he ran onto this http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=16499 (really, take the time and read it). I think he has decided to not fish in that area, or so I thought. This morning when he was leaving I saw him put the tackle box and poles in the car.

Strawberry Cutthroats
On one of the last days of our trip Jon, my dad and I went up to Strawberry Reservoir to fish for the notorious Bear Lake cutthroats that inhabit the lake.
This is one of the best trout fisheries anywhere--so good that even a few novices like us got into some great fish. It was our first time at Strawberry and the first time any of us caught cutthroats. We caught 11 total by just fishing in the morning. All were caught jigging off the bottom, since that's where the fish go during the hottest part of the summer.
Since Fish and Wildlife stocked the cutts in the lake to control the chub population, you are only allowed to keep fish under 15 and over 22 inches. We had one or two that were near the upper end of that range, but nothing over the "slot." We did catch three that were just under 15" and pretty fat, so we took them home to eat. Here are some pictures:
Jon with the first fish of the day
Another one right in the middle of the slot (about 18")
Dad and Jon on a beautiful day in the Uintas.
Dad's big cutt still in the net (look how glassy the lake is!).
Jon still not sure how to hold his fish up for a picture.

Back to reality
Some of you may have noticed that we haven't posted in a little while (and by "some of you" I mean Liz). This is mostly because we were out of town for a visit to Utah and Kewish family reunion. So, after a week of preparation, two weeks of being out of town, and a few days de-toxing from going to the Creamery every night, we are back in SA-town and back to reality.
We had such a great time on our trip and miss all the cousins and family so much. While we still have no desire to ever live there, Utah is such a great place to visit--especially Provo. We hiked the Y, marched in the kids parade, ran the 4th of July 5K, barbecued at Rock Canyon park, watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks, went bowling, had a scavenger hunt at BYU, played some golf, did lots of shopping, hit all the necessary Provo eating spots, went fishing at Strawberry, and just hung out with all the family. It flew by and we were actually sad to leave. We're already looking forward to the next time we can get together--especially with some of the family that couldn't make it this time around.
So as you might imagine, we have tons of updates, stories, and pictures, which we will post in the coming days. For now, we'll just post a few of the boys crashed in grandpa and grandma Kewishes' living room. For kids who are usually on a pretty smooth schedule here at home, they had to deal with rarely getting a nap in Utah. This usually resulted in spectacular 'crashes' later in the day. This was one of our last days there, around 4 or 5 pm, when they just couldn't stay awake another minute. The funny thing was that this was in the middle of the living room, which was full of cousins, and they both crashed within a few minutes of each other. At least Joey found something soft to lay on.
Finally, a quick contest for those who have a knowledge of 80's music. Who can guess the 80's song and group that has been running through my mind ever since I came up with the title to this post? The winner gets a prize.
