April Fool's Day at the Kewish home. We are glad Mom Kewish isn't around to play all of her pranks, but feel sorry for Dad who has to bear the brunt alone while they are in Hong Kong.
The day started out with Mother Nature playing her own April Fool's joke on us by dropping a couple of inches of snow overnight.
Then Liz carried the load this year by first preparing some interesting apples for the boys' lunches.

And spiking their cereal milk with a few drops of food coloring.

She then went to work on dinner, making Jell-O in glasses so she could watch us try to drink them once it was set.
Joey was determined, and I think in general they were just so excited to have Jell-O that they weren't too bothered by the joke.
But then the main course came, which was a shepherd's pie topped with mashed potatoes, masquerading as a chocolate pie with strawberry whipped cream on top.
The dinner was actually very good, but if you were expecting a chocolate pie, you might make a face like this:
Tori was a little confused, but didn't get too thrown off. Probably because it was pink (thanks to a few beets being added to the mashed potato topping).
